Installazione Sono-botanica Nella Città del Suono

Somewhere along the line I subscribed to the RSS feed for City of Sound, but I haven’t been making it that far down my feeds list in NetNewsWire. Today I found a couple of interesting posts that seem to merit more than just link-blogging.
First, a posting describing a “sonic park” (installazione sono-botanica) in Firenze:

” …you could interpret our gardens as hypothesis for a livable sound city, oasis where our ears can learn how to put in tune and harmonize the noise of the whole town. A precise stance and a practical contribution to the sonic planning of a city, representing and exemplifying the qualitative alternative to the acoustic chaos measured so far in db invasiveness…” Lorenzo Brusci

Second, a discussion of an article bemoaning the lack of metadata in downloadable music. Given that I listen to a lot of music where metadata is a valuable facet of enjoying the music, I’m looking forward to reading these more closely…
City of Sound also has a link blog.
