Release Manager James Mitchell writes:
The Apache Struts team is extremely proud to announce the availability of Struts 1.2.2. This release represents the first “official” release available for General Availability since Struts 1.1.
I have not had a whole lot of time to devote to Struts development — big thanks are due especially to James Mitchell, who dove in and figured out all the details of cutting a release.
As Ted pointed out, people don’t seem to have major Struts “itches” to scratch. My itches seem to come up when I’m building new stuff, and I’ve been in maintenance mode at work, so I haven’t pushed as much. Of course, it would probably be better to forecast the itches and work on them ahead of the immediate demand, but that’s not how it seems to happen.
Maybe now that summer is drawing to a close, I’ll find more time to get ahead of things… There are some interesting ideas bouncing around the list from time to time, but all of the committers have been pretty busy.
