Today Gapers’ Block pointed to the “chicago” tag on Flickr. I popped over briefly and found some nice shots of Crown Fountain on the first page.
After googling to figure out what the thing is called (not the catchiest name, but Milennium Park is all about big name donors getting their name affixed), I found some this great shot of Crown Fountain at Dusk .
I saw it up close and personal for the first time this weekend. The really great thing is just how much fun kids have playing in the water. Here’s a picture that shows a few children playing, but, maybe since it was Labor Day weekend, the crowds were much much bigger when we were there. People were coming down to the park in bathing suits just to play in the fountain. That’s my idea of public art.
