I’ve always thought it would be great if voters could get something as a reward for displaying their voting receipt on election day. I’m not talking about vote buying, but just some modest rewards for people doing their civic duty. Like a free cup of coffee or a donut or something like that.

Well, here in Chicago there’s a free concert on Election Day, and it’s only open to people who have a voting receipt!

I saw the ad in this week’s Onion, but found a little more online at WXRT. The concert features Poi Dog Pondering and Store Bought Rebels, plus more. Cool.
