Announcing the first posting of the Akwaaba Sound System, a new group MP3 blog.

A few years ago, my friends Chris and Pieter and I (with a few other folks) were DJing some parties at the Elastic Revolution Productions space (the organization which evolved into the Elastic Arts Foundation). “Akwaaba Sound System” is the name we used to describe our thing, and the fun was in the extreme diversity of tastes we put into the pot. Hopefully the blog will reflect the same. Pieter’s baby is due to be born any day now, so he may be a bit slow in publishing, but Chris seems to be chomping at the bit. (Pieter did a guest post on Benn loxo du tàccu a few days ago, with a couple of great African singles from his incredible collection…)
