Cool — not like it’s new to the world, but I really enjoyed my discovery of the Don Cherry/Gato Barbieri “co-led” album, from our vinyl collection. I was only able to listen to the track I played, which heavily referenced “Complete Communion”, which was from about the same time (1965) and which is one of my favorite albums.
Next week’s show will be part of WNUR’s AACM feature week — I’ll probably play all AACM artists the whole time.
