“Conference of the Birds” is my weekly radio program on WNUR-FM. It airs on Tuesdays from 5-7:30 am Chicago time (UTC-6). And, of course, when technology cooperates, you can just come here for the archives.
Today is primary election day in Illinois. I wish I’d been clever enough to come up with a themed playlist–your suggestions for democracy-focused music are welcomed for the November general election, presuming I’m still on Tuesday mornings when that rolls around (which is my plan). As for groundhog-day themed music, that won’t roll around again on a Tuesday again until 2016. Oh, and to top it off, today is La Chandeleur, a French/Belgian holiday celebrated with the eating of crêpes. So that gives us six years to find pancake songs as well.
In any event, enjoy the music.
